Windows 7 Pptp Vpn Error 806
which happened "overnight" where it just stopped working. This is for my wife's computer & office environment so I have windows 7 pptp error 619 limited insight into their architecture. We used to be able to VPN into the office from this Win 7 laptop then *poof* no more. We get error 800 and after researching on

this topic and solutions point to upgrading the office router for GRE support (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319108/en-us) but IT said nothing has changed in the infrastucture. Hence I'm stomped. The setup is fairly simple, PPTP VPN on ISA2004 (I think, or the latest). The interesting part is that on my trust old XP laptop I can connect without any issues hence why I think its the Win7 unit lancom pptp windows 7 which has the problem. Error 800 is a windows error, It occurs while using the following protocols. PPTP ( Point To Point Tunneling Protocol),L2TP ( Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol). Which means you unable to connect to the server. Sometimes, poor connection can cause this issue too. 3) You may need to updated firmware on a router or firewall if other OS (win9x/nt/me/w2k) windows 7 works except XP. 4) The VPN server may not be able to get IP from DHCP for the VPN client. So, you may want to re-configure VPN host networking settings.
