When switched it shows a message that indicates that there is no booting device and that there is no OS. I tried making a windows 7 custom installation of Windows 7, but when i get to the part where I am to select the driver to be installed i get the message "No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK". Kindly advise on what i am to do here. The laptop is a HP 655. Installing drivers at this point would only be needed if say you were installing onto a PCIe SSD drive or other non-standard drive. If the drive is a SATA (or PATA) drive, then no drives are needed. If the installer does not find a conventional hard drive, then it looks for non-standard drives and since it is not finding them either, is asking you for the software that will allow it to find and use a non-standard drive that is does not see.You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane. See in Thread ↓#1 StuartS April 29, 2014 at 02:53:02 i get to the part where I am to select the driver to be installed i get the message "No device drivers were foundThats ia bit confusing. Driver and drive are two efferent things. A drive is hardware and a driver is software..If it really says there is no drive then that would indicate that the hard drive as died. No booting device would indicate this as well. All the necessary drivers to get the OS installed at least are present into installation disk. However, you say you are making a custom installation. Exactly what is this? What you do next is dependent on whether the laptop is still under warranty.Stuart Report • #2 Khumo April 29, 2014 at 03:34:25 by custom installation i mean tha
