(MSI) Windows Installer (MSI) Error Messages Everytime I try to install Office 97, Publisher 2k or any msi install.. I receive this error. http://www.itninja.com/question/msi-error-1601 When I check in the event viewer, it says "MsiInstaller : Failed to connect to server. Error code 0x80070005" Then the windows installer will stop, and I have to go and restart it. I downloaded the MSI installer from microsoft and tried that, no success. I have Windows XP pro SP2. Its a novell 6 network and running zenworks. This windows installer also happens when I try to run it from the NAL. Any ideas on a solution for this problem. 0 Comments [ + ] Show Comments Comments Please log in to comment Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable.
