Discussion in 'Using Outlook' started by RusBed, Jan 15, 2016. Previous Thread Next Thread Loading... 12345 0/5, 0 votes RusBed New Member Hi I had a Chinese language https://forums.slipstick.com/threads/94253-microsoft-outlook-cant-translate-this-document/ Office 2010 professional installation with English language pack installed on a computer which http://supportforwindows.iyogi.com/windows-installation/installer-error-1605.html was causing problems. I uninstalled the Chinese version and installed a standard version. When Outlook starts, it gives the following error; Microsoft Outlook can't translate this document. Microsoft Outlook cannot install the necessary files due to Windows Installer error 1605. This action is only valid for products that are currently installed. It windows installer seems the most recommended repair is to uninstall Office, delete references to Office in the registry and then re-install. I have done this but the error repeats. Does anyone have a suggested repair? Thanks Jan 15, 2016 Flag Post #1 Share Diane Poremsky Senior Member Did you use the Fix it that completely removes office? That should completely remove all keys and avoid this windows installer error error, assuming it is due to the (missing) proofing tools. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971179 Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center Outlook Tips Outlook Tips by email EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange Feb 10, 2016 Flag Post #2 Share Previous Thread Next Thread Loading...
