Do a file search for those files and right click on them and select Properties > Version. What is the location and version number of each instance? Also, I'm not sure if this will work, but if you trust HP, you might go to the Control Panel > System > Hardware interface, select "driver signing" and if "block" is enabled, set it to allow or prompt at least temporarily.
