If you're bothered by it and know your way around the Windows Registry, you'll find the GUID listed somewhere under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData. If you're sure it refers to something you've uninstalled already, go ahead and delete the key, run 'msizap G!' again and you shouldn't see the error message anymore.(Note: I am aware this information is already available online elsewhere in some for or other, but I found it to be somewhat scattered and confusing.) orphaned files from c:\windows\installer NOTE THAT THIS ARTICAL IS A WORK IN PROGESS and i have not researched the effects fully you could very well orphan more files by https://resque.wordpress.com/2012/04/05/deleting-orphaned-files-from-cwindowsinstaller/ doing this or seriously corrupt data you have been warned this can clean up a hell of a lot of disk space in some cases, as uninstaller either become currupt or were not ever good to begin with. Here are three tools that can do this two from MS (MSIZAP and Installer UnUsed Files Cleanup Tool) and one third party tool from raymond.cc MsiZap windows installer - c:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin\MsiZap.Exe (you must install the "The Platform SDK" from MS first) Windows Installer CleanUp Utility - http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html Windows Installer UnUsed Files Cleanup Tool - http://www.raymond.cc/blog/safely-delete-unused-msi-and-mst-files-from-windows-installer-folder/ MS does not support “Windows Installer CleanUp Utility” any more and has removed all download links. thewindowsclub states: “While the Windows Installer Cleanup utility was found to a be a very useful tool by many… error opening subkey it was also recently found to damage some other components of the Windows operating system, installed on the computer.” if you get an error like the one below using the MSIZAP tool, follow the instruction below:MsiZapInfo: “Error enumerating Products key for S-1-5-21-1229272821-602600000-1600000048-1031 user.” Error: 6.
