I have tried uninstalling, manual install, microsoft fixit tool, checked registry, etc. Just about any solution I could google - I'vetried. I get these messages with various methods of installation: error 1603, object already exists, fatal windows installer error. (fyi -paint.net will not install either) Any help would be appreciated - I'd like to move on after troubleshooting for 2 days. It appears KB2918614 windows installer package broke the Windows Installer Service. Go to your Windows Update History and remove that update (it will have been installed near the time you began having this problem). Then reboot and try again. If this fixes it. Hide this windows update until Microsoft comes up with a fix for it.
