Marketresearch.msi Started by crimsonsamurai , May 25 2011 07:33 PM This topic is locked 4 replies to this topic #1 crimsonsamurai crimsonsamurai Members 3 posts OFFLINE Local time:02:47 AM Posted 25 May 2011 - 07:33 PM First off, this is a shared computer and I hardly use it until something breaks and I'm stuck trying to fix it, but for the life of me I cannot seem to get to the bottom of this. Upon login, regardless of user account, I continue to get a popup for helping to locate the marketresearch.msi file. I have located it through search on the computer, directed the msi prompt where to look, but still has issues. I have since come to find out that it has been relegated as a form of spyware through other forum posts that I've been perusing through. I originally tried deleting all references and keys directed towards and labeled as marketresearch, as well as running a few security utilities, however the msi popup still kept coming back up looking for it. If I try to cancel out of the popup or just skip it I will eventually get a fatal error installation for the insta

Boot into safe mode & run a virus scan & malware scan. And run MSCONFIG to check for unusual startup apps.
