The problem I have is with https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/864961175475582219/ two games, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and War of the Roses. I purchased War of the Roses during the Weekend Steam Sale, and Chivalry during the Holiday Steam Sale. So, feeling in the mood for some Medieval fighting, I began the download for both items concurrently, along with an update to Left4Dead 2. Left4Dead managed to update successfully, but I wasn't able to launch either Chivalry or War of the Roses, both games gave me this error: http://imgur.com/iLjoFtLThe issue persisted after both a Steam restart, and a computer restart. So I figured somewhere along the line the download had become corrupted, so I went into my library right clicked each game and clicked "Delete local content". After deleting both games from my hard drive, I proceeded to download Garry's Mod to test if it was the games or something wrong with my hard drive. Garry's Mod had no trouble installing, launching, and running. I exited GMod, and downloaded Chivalry (with no other downloads occurring). Same issue, again: http://imgur.com/iLjoFtLHere's where it gets even stranger. I was

I already had one 1 TB hard drive and after the steam sales I felt the need to expand on my storage to accommodate the new games. I have yet to move anything onto it yet. Everything was fine for the first couple of days, but now I have come across an issue. I have a few games that will not update and I can not install new games either. The games are in the "Not Queued" tab and when ever I hit the up arrow to put them in the "Queued" Tab they drop right back down into the previous tab. I have been looking all over the internet and I can't seem to come up with a solution to my problem. I already ran a health test on both hard drives and they are in good health so I know they are fine. I saw a thread saying that there was a file locked but when I go to find the Content log in the steam logs it is not there. There is only the content_log.previous. Other threads say I need to wait and that it will be solved in time, but I believe there has to be a solution. Any help is appreciated. More about : steam disk write error Best solution Samwell9854 27 June 2015 04:50:03 You can check first if you have the NTFS rights to write in the destination folder (not as Administrators but as Users as Steam isn't necessarily run with administrative privilege). Second, if it's still empty, consider emptying the drive and reformatting it with your current user as this should solve some possible NTFS rights issues. But first I would like to know... Have you started to move your content in the new hard drive? Have you changed the Steam Library Folders path yet? Did you do a "move" of the games content on the new drive? I would need the steps you've completed yet concerning your "migration" (if any has been made). Thank you
