Solved Adobe Acrobat v7.07 update error 1612 - missing source media Posted on 2006-02-12 Fonts-Typography Productivity Apps 1 Verified Solution 6 Comments http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/332773.html 3,933 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-03 I have Adobe Acrobat Pro v7.05 for Windows installed. The Adobe Acrobat Update Manager tells me that an update to v7.07 is available. I run AAUM, it downloads the update, I click install. I then get an error message saying that because of "Missing source media. (Error 1612)" the installation cannot be completed. I purchased Acrobat 7.0 as a download and the https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21733595/Adobe-Acrobat-v7-07-update-error-1612-missing-source-media.html setup files were automatically saved to c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 7.0\setup files\acropro\enu during installation. It seems like AAUM is not seeing this folder and I don't get an opportunity to point i there. I cannot find anything about this error message on the Adobe website. Thanks for any help or suggestions. 0 Question by:DavidFMitchell Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 21 Best Solution byshuboarder If you still experience problems, download and run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. anyone kindly help me? Thanks! Top 1. Missing Source Media (Error 1635) I recently got http://www.verycomputer.com/335_27da9485f669cc26_1.htm a new PC and moved all of my apps to it https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/4cba558a-0a8f-4912-86c5-ad48052d76f1/cannot-install-adobe-flash-and-reader-on-w7-sp1-x64-via-group-policy?forum=winserverGP from the old PC. For Acrobat, I reinstalled from a CD. The installed version was 7.0.0. I immediately got pop-ups telling me that updates were available. The update to Version 7.0.5 went OK. However, when it tries to do the update to 7.0.7 it continually adobe reader craps out. I keep getting the warning message "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package." I click on 'OK' and a short while later another box pops up stating: adobe acrobat error "Missing source media (error 1635)" There are several radio buttons with the choice of continuing or cancelling. I've tried them all, but cannot get the update to install. Any suggestions? I have tried re-downloading the update file, but the same thing keeps happening. 2. Problems using
