Have you changed printers since the last time you printed the document? Have you changed versions of Acrobat since it was created? Can you try to print a version from a backup in case the version you are using has become corrupt? Mike Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Print Error: The document could not be printed (Allan_Eldridge) Jul 15, 2008 9:45 AM (in response to (Stephen_Holland)) I've encountered the same problem. The PDF prints on other machines in my group but my machine gives me the "document cannot be printed" error. Alternatively, it will also generate the error "A drawing error has occurred." We have recently upgraded to CS3 but I believe we were using Acrobat 8 even when we were still on CS2. Our current OS is 10.4.11 and we're using Acrobat 8.1.2. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. Chris Saam 2 Answers Voted Best Answer Edit Answer (for another 13 minutes) I got the file. There is a PDF syntax issue, which may be to blame for your printing problems. This could certainly cause the drawing error. I've attached a screen shot of the Preflight report, as you can see that problem is flagged on all pages, starting on page 2. https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Drawing-Error-and-No-pages-Selected-Clients-cannot-print-reports-Please-Help-Us-q69810.aspx I would get in touch with the developer of the software. They are using a 3rd party PDF library (wPDF), which seems to play a bit fast and loose with the PDF spec... This is a serious problem, but unfortunately very common with 3rd party libraries. Did you update the software recently? By Karl Heinz Kremer Edit Answer (for another -1 minute) This sounds like corrupt PDF. When you look at one of these PDFs Document Information (Ctrl-D), go to the Description tab and look at the PDF Producer and Application information. What does it say? If it's not Adobe software that created the files, I would suspect that something happened (e.g. an update to the software) that is now producing corrupt PDFs. It is also possible that you updated Acrobat or Reader on your systems and the new version is pickier when it comes to this particular PDF problem, and it is no longer printing these files. If this is a non-Adobe PDF creator, you need to talk to the vendor that the software came from to see if they know aobut the problem, and have a fix for it. If you could provide a sample file, I might be able to take a look to further debug this issue.
