Is there a way for me to stop the error messages?"Thomas Ballard Joe Ker 5 Answers Edit Answer (for another -24 minute) JMK, You can try running a repair on the installation. If that doesn't cut it, I would strip, clean and reinstall Reader XI. Check other postings of mine on how to accomplish this - it's not hard. https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Application-Error-message-0xc0000409-occurred-in-the-application-at-location-0x00411e0b-q83813.aspx Just takes a little time. Thanks Doug Douglas Hanna Edit Answer (for another 5 minutes) Adobe 10 & 11 sometimes have problems starting up.I have spent many hours trying various things. It seems that Windows or Adobe store some information in the folders/registry.Completely uninstall 10 & 11. I recommend running a program that removes all traces of the programs. (I used Ibit Uninstaller)Reinstall in a different folder (don't miss the prompt to change the destination folder). This seems to solve most problems. Arthur Kerr Sheppard Edit Answer (for another 1 minute) I agree with just about everything you propose (personally, I use CCLEANER) except for the new folder bit. Be careful there in that it may be introducing more cruft left on the HDD than not. In summary: Uninstall the application in question. Reboot (yes, even under Win7 & Win 8). Use a cleaner tool to scrub the registry and file system. Reboot Install - try just using the default settings.. Thanks Doug Douglas Hanna Edit Answer (for another -1 minute) Go to Edit>Preferences>Security (enhanced)>Sandbox protections and deselect Enable Protected Mode at startup. See if that clears it up." This worked for me. Hopefully Adobe will fix the issue by the next release.

You aren't going to get memory errors from a bad registry entry and you could end up doing more damage than good. Do what Mickliq suggests, uninstall then reinstall. Report • #3 Xps86 July 25, 2011 at 13:52:19 Uninstall it and keep it off. Malware developers love to target Adobe Reader and Flash because they're so vulnerable. Adobe tries to keep up by regularly updating it, but save yourself the annoyance and stick with Foxit Reader free.Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately.
