Bde Error $2b05
what's causing it. I've searched the 'net hi and low but can't find anything to help me. I've written a pretty simple CGI program in Delphi 3.0 which accesses Oracle tables. Everything's running under IIS 4 and NT 4. All works perfectly fine on the test server but bombs on the production server. Both servers have identical software installed. The error message: Internal Server Error 500 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exception: EDBEngineError Message: An error occurred while attempting to initialize the Borland Database Engine (error $2B05) If anyone has more details concerning this error, I'd appreciate a reply. Thank you kindly, Elie Dan Brenna Delphi Developer Wed, 18 Jun 1902 08:00:00 GMT Re:BDE Error $2B05 Permission Denied Is the BDE installed on the production server? If you are using TQuery or TTable objects in D3, remember that they use the BDE even though your target tables are in an Oracle DB. HTH, Dan On Mon, 26 Jun 2000 20:04:44 GMT, Elie Tordjman Quote

I suspect the user does not have access rights to the BDE directory or to the BDE keys in the registry. -- Bill (TeamB) (TeamB cannot respond to questions received via email) Granier Jean-Michel Delphi Developer 2003-08-01 04:39:46 PM Re:Re: $2B05 error : SOLUTION Yes http://www.delphigroups.info/2/93/31757.html the method I described has solved my problem. It is not sure that it will end yours, but there are a lot of chance. Verify you NET DIR in BDE Admin, set it to C:\WINNT\TEMP Add read/right to this rep for IUSR_xxx and IWAM_xxx. if you have a file called PDOXUSRS.NET on the server, delete it, but IIS must be down before. hope this help regards Jean-Michel "David Farrell-Garcia" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >a écrit dans le message http://www.delphigroups.info/1/11/30250.html de Quote Granier Jean-Michel wrote: >In Delphi program : >Create a netdirfile and privdir directories to a local dir on the >server Delete all files, always, which could be located on these >directories. I have a similar problem in a BDE app running on a Terminal Server. I get the $2B05 error when more then two users run my BDE application. Odd thing is that it was working with multiple users and then just stopped with no server or application changes that I am aware of. I can also get one user out of the app, then log another on then log the last user back on, now having 3 users, but if I close the app I get the BDE error on startup again, if more then two users are already in the app. -- David Farrell-Garcia Whidbey Island Software LLC 1. If you have installed C++Builder and the BDE to the default directories, then the data for CONFIGFILE01 should be: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE\IDAPI32.CFG And the data for DLLPath should be: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE The CONFIGFILE01 and DLLPath values may be added manually if they are missing. Their presence, assuming all else is intact, will solve the problem. Author: Yu-Chen Hsueh MMFELL03-31-2007, 10:14 PMWhats the name of the program you are attempting to run? I will take a look at the spoonfeeder site. I have been using Spoonfeeder on my old computer and give it two thumbs up.
