Bde Error $2b32

T.I.A Augusto Lucas Sleim Delphi Developer Mon, 19 Apr 2004 09:51:38 GMT Re:BDE ERROR $2B32 - Share violation Hi Lucas I posted a message around the same time (on 31/10) that has in it suggestions to enhance the performance and stability of a cgi/application that uses BDE. Have a look at the post, you might get some ideas for solving your problem. Basically, the suggestions were mentioned in the document http://bdesupport.com/stability.htm and they are about: 1) Changing LOCAL SHARE to True in the BDE setting (the BDE Admin utility). 2) Add 3 new registry keys that I mention in my other post. Are you using Windows2000 or Windows NT? Anyway, I am using Windows2000 which is part of the problem because the same cgi runs well on NT. If you get more ideas please let me know, because I am still encountering this share violation error when there are simultaneous accesses to the database. Good luck Sleiman QuoteLucas
[ author ] It means there is some sort of http://www.delphigroups.info/2/82/333293.html sharing violation; you could use DbiGetErrorInfo to get some more "context" information. hth Bert Bert De Ridder Analyst/DBA Nissan Belgium Disclaimer : The opinions expressed http://lists.elists.org/pipermail/delphi-db/2000-July/002029.html in this message are my own, and are not necessarily those of NV Nissan Belgium. >>> Raigo Lukk

The one suggestion that I do have is not to use the BDE for web development. I'd suggest using ADO or dbExpress if you can. Kind Regards, Justin
