The Custom Form Cannot Be Opened Outlook 2007
We are running Exchange 2010 SP2 and recently created an Organizational Forms Library Public the custom form cannot be opened outlook 2016 Folder (successfully, with no issues). A developer has created an Outlook Template and has published it to the Organizational Forms Library successfully. the custom form cannot be opened. outlook will use an outlook form instead. the operation failed From within Outlook 2010, going to NEW ITEM, CHOOSE FORM, we see the Organizational Forms Library and we also see the newly published form, however, when we attempted to open the form, it errors with FORM https://www.msoutlook.info/question/316 LOAD FAILS. Researching the issue, we ran across this in one of the posts here: I understand it is an old posting but i want to share the solution as I ran into this problem today and couldn't find anything helpfull in the net. After couple of hours of playing with permissions, trying to repost the form in exchange library and openinng it on different computers with no luck, I finally managed to https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/9fd54932-57b2-49de-a77b-bc2bd993bd80/outlook-2010-cannot-open-form-published-to-organizational-library-public-folder?forum=outlook open it on one of the terminal servers with the same account which wouldnt work on any other pc that i tried. The difference was that on that terminal server office 2010 was installed on a freshly installed system and the outlook profile was first creatred by outlook 2010. While on all other comps that i tried, office 2010 was installed as replacement of 2007 office and outlook profiles already existed. So I went back to the system on which the form would fail to open, made a new exchange profile and form opened just fine. We duplicated this same behavior....created a new Outlook profile on an machine with an existing profile and the forms open successfully. However, this is not something we can instruct our users to do...to create a new profile...this workaround is not a solution. We have a mixture of machines that are running Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010 and some may have been upgraded from 2007 to 2010. What is required to ensure users can open the newly published forms no matter what version of Outlook they are running with their existing Outlook profiles? These forms can be open with https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Enterprise-Vault/Outlook-2010-quot-The-custom-form-cannot-be-opened-quot/td-p/714124 no problem on Outlook 2007 and bellow. But when I try to open them in Outlook 2010 I always get the Form Load Failed error. I can open forms cannot be from other libraries (Personal, Local Filesystem). Notice, I have created the library using the KB933358. Thank you for help. May not hurt to delete the formcache.dat file in the profile either. Also, what version of Outlook were the forms originally created with? Please note that sometimes, a trial-and-error process has to be used to determine ifa specific component (control) on a form may be causing the issue. You may need to open the form in Outlook 2007, publish the form with a new name --so as to avoid overwriting the original form-- then remove parts of the form, re-publish (using the new name), and test opening o

Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator." Tried the following: - Cleared the cached forms, - Renamed FRMCACHE.DAT to FRMCACHE.old, - Recreated Outlook profile, No sucess. User's don't and can't have acess to administrative permission in any files on Registry. The only thing i came up with was to re-create the whole user windows profle, which it worked. The computers are Windows XP with SP3 installed and EV v10.0.17573. Does anyone have other tips or solutions for this problem, besides having to re-create the whole profile ? Thanks in advance !
