Sometimes the published applications work, sometimes they do not. I have no issues for external users and it seems to only be happening to internal users. Error: Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server. The Citrix SSL Relay name could not be resolved (SSL error 40)The thing is when I lookup SSL error 40 I see nothing but Citrix Secure Gateway stuff. I'm not using Citrix Secure Gateway. I'm using Citrix Netscaler with Storefront services. The Storefront services a load balanced with load balancing on the Citrix Netscaler.I'm not finding much for logs in the system so I'm not really sure where to go from here. 1360-329149-1730935 Back to top Jacob Dixon Members #2 Jacob Dixon 1,165 posts Posted 18 April 2013 - 02:30 PM On one of the storefront service

SSL error 40 when client v12.1 installed Started by Jon Shelton , 30 November 2010 - 03:23 PM Login to Reply cannot connect 3 replies to this topic Jon Shelton Members #1 Jon Shelton 2 posts Posted 30 November 2010 - 03:23 PM I have rolled out a new client to our users - Online Plugin - Web v12.1.After doing this, certain users started to get the following error:Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server. The Citrix SSL cannot connect to Relay name could not be resolved (SSL error 40)On further investigation it turns out that they could not resolve the public name of the CSG server, this was because they did not have DNS forwarding set up correctly to resolve it via the public DNS.*The question is* Why is this required only when the client is updated to v12.1?What has changed in the way the client works? They previously had v10 client, with the same DNS setup - and it worked with no problemsNothing else has changed, the CSG is the same, web interface the same, XenApp servers the same etc.Any suggestions gratefully received 1349-277969-1513724 Back to top David Notarius Members #2 David Notarius 11 posts Posted 21 June 2011 - 04:12 PM I have the same issue. Upgraded client to fix feature parity issues with new version of XenApp and now clients behind a proxy farm will no longer connect. V10.x works, but 12.x fails. Have little access to proxy farm configuration or DNS as this is controlled by 3rd party at a GM facility. Any server-side settings to resolve this issue? 1349-277969-1562928 Back to top sadique khan Members #3 sadique khan 25 posts Posted 24 Jun

Solved Citrix SSL relay name could not be resolved Posted on 2006-06-28 Citrix 1 Verified Solution 7 Comments 16,020 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-27 OK, using SG I am getting the error above, from Citrix I get this solution Symptom Users receive the following error message when trying to launch applications through Secure Gateway: “Cannot connect to the Citrix server: The Citrix SSL relay name could not be resolved (SSL error 40)” Cause The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Secure Gateway server is not recognized by the client. Reason A DNS record was not made to resolve the FQDN name of the gateway — or — The FQDN of the Secure Gateway server entered in Web Interface/NFuseAdmin/server-side firewall/Secure Gateway for MetaFrame does not match the name on the certificate of the Secure Gateway server. Resolution Create a DNS record that resolves the FQDN of the Secure Gateway server or create an entry in the host file on the client devices. Verify that the FQDN referenced in Web Interface/NFuseAdmin/server-side firewall/Secure Gateway for MetaFrame matches the name on the certificate of the Secure Gateway server. **************** 1 Ok, I would create the DNS record to resolve the FQDN, but I can't figure that one out.
