I am mapped correctly and I am behind the same Windows firewall which allows first computer to run. The error does not go away when you turn firewall off on one or both computers. I just followed the default locations as suggested during installaton.Everything used to work before even with me following the default locations, its only in the past 3 days now that I am having this problem. No, Pervasive is not being used by any other program. I finally found the w3dbsmgr.exe - Database service manager - it is running under processes, I could not see it earlier since I did not click the 'Show processes for all users' check box. It seems to be running by SYSTEM. Cancel JasonRamirez 3 Aug 2012 6:17 AM I did a reinstall on the server side, changed location for da

Solved Peachtree / networking issue - cannot connect to database Posted on 2009-09-30 Windows Networking Networking Tax / Financial Software 1 Verified Solution 8 Comments cannot connect 7,887 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-19 We use Peachtree Premium for Manufacturing 2008. We have a small peer-to-peer network, with the Peachtree data files residing on 1 computer; other computers have a mapped drived to that shared folder. I'm getting ready to move us over to a server based network & have been working on setting up the server. I'm using my computer to test things with the cannot connect to server & now when I switch back to having the router be my DHCP I'm having trouble with Peachtree. It says it can't connect to the database, even though I can browse the mapped drive just fine. I can access all other resources on the network (that I've tried). I finally uninstalled Peachtree, wiped evidences of Peachtree from the computer & re-installed. When the installer got to the part of connecting to the database, I get the same error: Cannot Connect to Peachtree Database on Network. I've tried by completely disabling all firewalls, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. I think it's something with my mapped drive because at one point it said it was disconnected, but I could still browse it. I disconnected it (it was still there, couldn't get it to go away at all), reconnected it but still no luck. I'd appreciate any help I can get to solve this. Other computers on the peer-to-peer network are accessing just fine, so I know it's not actually a "server" computer issue. 0 Question by:SlowWizard Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 28 Active 3 days ago Best Solution byBill Bach Yup.
