Now, it won't take pictures at all. When I go to take a picture, it will act like it is focusing by flashing and such but it will never go through. It always says busy. I have tried all modes, and none will work not even without flash.I have also taken the battery out, taken the card out and reformatted it, and cleared all camera settings. Can anyone help? I have a newborn that I would really like to be able to capture. Thank you ahead of time! 11 people had this problem. Ears Joined: Apr 18, 2005 Messages: 27 I have a canon Rebel XS and today when I went to use it, it keeps giving me an error message when I look through http://www.disboards.com/threads/canon-rebel-xs-busy-error-message.2921858/ the view finder and I can't take any pictures. I can get the lens https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/2668475 to auto focus, but when I click to take a picture, the green 'busy' message appears and I can't get it to snap the picture. My display is also black. I did a google search for this type of error and I keep getting the suggestion of updating the file on it, but it won't engage with my computer. canon eos Any suggestions would be great! I really like this camera for what I do with it and I'm not looking to get a new one if this one can be fixed. It won't do anything. The led display is completely blank and it won't interact with my computer... When I attach it to my computer it won't show up in my drives or anything. Everything I Google leans to needing to send it in...which i dont think would be very cosy effective in the long run sd mouse, May 6, 2012 #5 Luv2Scrap The only way is if you have the Joined: Apr 20, 2007 Messages: 2,325 My Canon T2i often does this when I try to use the flash. The busy indicator staying for 10-20 seconds, but you, know, this duration is very importanta especially while covering some important occassions. Many forums and Canon user namual says, busy indicator will light up for flash recycling. But I dont know what it is. But I really doubt this much delay is because piece is faulty? Any help or directions from the experts over here is greatly appreciated. Are you using capturing RAW+JPEG? What speed memory card are you using? Are you using in-camera processing (i.e. NR)?All these things can cause it to take longer before the images are stored to memory. More = Longer. If you are missing shots you need to prioritize, determining what is to be done, and where. Some of this can be handled in post processing. This would mean less time processing in the camera and more shots being captured before the buffer fills and you need to wait. I am a newbie in this field and hence I did not completely understand you.But I would try to provide some information as much as I can. It would be great if you can suggest me the best approach.1) Are you shooting Burst? --> I dont know what is burst. Since I just started, I am using the AF mode in Portrait and observed the busy indicator in indoor shooting. Though the flash was not used, the indicator came. So I do not know how flash recycling comes into picture. 2)Are you using capturing RAW+JPEG? NO , I am using the L superfine pictures.3)What speed memory card are you using? -Do not know exacly, but I am using a sandisk 8GB4)Are you using in-camera processing (i.e. NR)?-- Not that I am
