I get this error: "This version of Citrix Receiver does not support selected encryption. Please contact your administrator.[Error 1046: The Virtual Driver is not loaded]I'm running the latest Citrix Receiver 3.4 Enterprise. I see other that have this problem that have uninstalled and reinstalled receiver and it fixed the issue and also some hotfix that may be available if you open a support ticket? Is there any other way to fix this error? It was working fine yesterday... so this came out of no where. No windows updates were done and no updates to Citrix were done recently. 1360-329481-1732581 Back to top Jacob Dixon Members #2 Jacob Dixon

Novell client, connecting to Edir via LDAP, server is in an NT4 domain) and XPsp2 (running client32 4.9 sp2 and the ICA client version 6.31.1051) on the client. The problem is that when I have SecureLogin running on the client and launch a published app. the following happens: after about 3 min. I get a message saying "a domain controller can't be found for the specified domain" if I click OK to that then a login box comes up which looks like the windows workstation "local login" box for the server. If I leave this box and don't click cancel, eventually (after about another 3 or 4 minutes) the application launches. If I take SecureLogin off the client and click the published app all works fine. Other SSO enabled apps (such as web pages and other windows apps) work fine on the workstation. Is there something I am missing in the GINA setup? Any ideas would be appreciated. -Jim David Guest15-Mar-2005, 11:37Jim, It sounds like an issue with the connection between the NSL Client and the Citrix server, specifically with the virtual channel. The normal way to run this is with the Novell Client installed on the server. To check and see if it is the VC driver remove the SLSSO entry from the VirtualDriver line in your modules.ini (In Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client directory) then try to launch the application again. This should get rid of the initial delay. If it does then we will need to examine why it is failing. It could be that the ID/Password/Domain you are logged in to on the workstation are not the same as those needed on the Citrix server. In this case it should fail to authenticate, this could take quite some time. One question I would ask is why you do not install the Novell Client on the system. This does work correctly and the user will not see the authentication (SSO provides this) and yet the server can appear to be a normal Windows GINA environment.
