ICA Client (Receiver) loses http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/28376-ica-client-macintosh-error-number-51/ connection during file upload Started by jstinson83 , 27 March 2012 - 07:54 PM Login to Reply 12 replies to this topic jstinson83 Members #1 Jay Stinson 232 posts Posted 27 March 2012 - 07:54 PM A client of ours is having an odd situation. It involes users at a location 2 hours away uploading files to the central office. They launch some http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/304621-ica-client-receiver-loses-connection-during-file-upload/ apps including Windows Explorer. Everything works normally. But whenever they copy a file from their local hard drive to a mapped drive through the published File Explorer, the Citrix Receiver immediately beings to popup in the task tray saying "Reconnecting...." It does this many times. The file copy progress window sticks on "Calculating... 0 bytes / sec" until the copy is complete. Right before it completes, it will blip with something like 3 Kb/s. Sometimes they even get the error "The network connection to your application was interrupted."It's odd that the upload completes without any progress being shown, but this may be due to the Citrix session being in some weird semi-disconnected state. The file completes within an amount of time consistent with 3 Kb/s. Very slow considering the CO has a 50 Mbps pipe and the satellite office has 10 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up.I should mention that the user can actively use other Citrix published apps to the same server in a different session (another problem I'm looking at.. multiple sessions on the same server..) without the slightest hint of latency

Configure Chrome/Chromium Known Issues / Workarounds The Citrix ICA Client (Citrix Receiver) allows access to remote Windows sessions that run on a Citrix server. These instructions are for citrix receiver current/recent Ubuntu/ICA versions. For historical reference, instructions for older Ubuntu/ICA versions are at CitrixICAClientHowToOlderVersions. If you are considering deployment of the Receiver in your workplace (as opposed to installation on just your machine), have a look at the Citrix Receiver deployment how-to in the Ubuntu for the Enterprise wiki. Citrix Receiver 13.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 1. (64-bit ssl error 61 only) Alternative install procedure that can be added to a deployment bash script http://mark911.wordpress.com/2014/06/27/how-to-install-citrix-receiver-icaclient-in-ubuntu-14-04-lts-64-bit-tested-and-working-using-mozilla-firefox/ 2. (64-bit only) Enable i386 Multiarch Even the Citrix Receiver for 64-bit systems has a lot of dependencies on packages from the i386 architecture. If you are using 64-bit Ubuntu and have not already configured i386 multiarch, you must configure it by running: sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 sudo apt-get updateN.B. The download link currently directs you to receiver 13.2 rather than 13.1 and the 64-bit deb no longer has i386 architecture dependencies. 3. Download the Citrix Receiver for Linux .deb package Go to https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/legacy-receiver-for-linux/receiver-for-linux-13-2.html Near the bottom of the page, select either "For 64-bit Systems" or "For 32-bit Systems" as appropriate, and goto the "Receiver for Linux" package. Look for "File Type: .deb" under the Download buttons. Click this .deb file, and have it open in Ubuntu Software Center for installation (so you can skip step 4), Or download the .deb file and install it as described in step 4.. Optionally download the "USB Su
