Eucharistadorer Junior Member Joined: Jul 30, 2008 Messages: 16 Likes Received: 0 Hey guys, I just installed my new 4870 and downloaded CCC and the display driver and installed them. But when I try to run CCC to monitor temps and control fan speed, it won't launch. I get this error message: CCC Command Line Interface has encountered a problem and needs to close. If anyone knows, what could this be and how can I solve this? Thanks much #1 Eucharistadorer, Aug 8, 2008 Sylvanas Diamond Member Joined: Jan 20, 2004 Messages: 3,753 Likes Received: 0 Need more info... Did you remove any other display drivers prior to installation? Also check you have the latest windows updates, particularly .Net 2.0/3.0- what OS? #2 Sylvanas, Aug 8, 2008 Qbah Diamond Member Joined: Oct 18, 2005 Messages: 3,684 Likes Received: 2 CCC for the 8.7s WHQL wouldn't start for me either (got some MOM Implementation error or w/e). Uninstalled it and installed the one from the 8.6s WHQL, works like a charm now. Perhaps try it? #3 Qbah, Aug 8, 2008 Dkcode Senior member Joined: May 1, 2005 Messages: 995 Likes Received: 0 Seems like the 8.7's have plagued a lot of users with problems, maybe the 8.6's with the hotfix would be better? #4 Dkcode, Aug 8, 2008 Hidden Hippo Member Joined: Aug 2, 2006 Messages: 183 Likes Received: 0 If the 8.7s offer better performance but the CCC fails then you could always try ATI Tray Tools over CCC and see whether that works better. I've not really found any performance/memory difference that ATI Tray Tools supposedly offers, but it could work until the 8.8s are out (which should be soon-ish I'd have thought). #5 Hidden Hippo, Aug 8, 2008 Mem Lifer Joined: Apr 23, 2000 Messages: 21,270 Likes Received: 1 Originally posted by: Dkcode Seems like the 8.7's have plagued a lot of users with problems, maybe the 8.6's with the hotfix would be better?Click to expand... Working fine for me, I read sometimes you need to do an extra reboot to get CCC working fine after the first time you install them. #6 Mem, Aug 8, 2008 Mem Lifer Joined: Apr 23, 2000 Messages: 21,270 Likes Received: 1 Originally posted by: Eucharistadorer Hey guys, I just instal
