Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) When trying to open a distributed catalog
Dbaccess Informix
on an Impromptu User machine the following SQL Query error is displayed: DMS-E-DBACCESS, It was not possible dbaccess shell script to access database. [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified. Resolving the problem When creating the ODBC connection the ODBC Data source name must match the DSN name built informix sql commands into catalog. Find the DSN name from the creator of the catalog and create the same System DSN on the Impromptu User machine. I think that you missed some RES files when making this build, and just need to create the build again including these missing files. If it is not available in this folder, try to reinstall UniDAC. If it does not help, please specify an e-mail address to which I can send this file. There are many RES files that are missing ( as I can see from the last release 3.70.0.18 ) My suggestion is that you just update your download so that everyone can benefit, otherwise everyone will complain about this error. Also several users have already downloaded and installed this version of UniDAC and they did not encounter such problem. Please try to download the latest UniDAC version once more, turn your antivirus programs off and install UniDAC. Maybe your antivirus program deletes or does not let *.res files thr
