an HPUX box (Listener is 2.1.4.1.0, Oracle 7.1.4). well I created the *.ora files on my PC using the network configurator and copied them to the \etc http://www.verycomputer.com/38_2d2049efbd187685_1.htm directory. These files should be clean, I had an oracle techie look them over. When I do LSNRCTL START from the Oracle7 account, I get, TNS-12545 : TNS :name lookup failure TNS-12560 : TNS :protocol adaptor failure TNS-00515 : Name lookup failure HPUX Error: 239: Connection refused It seems to me that the error 239 is the key, can anybody tell me what a 239 is on connect error HPUX?
