Cannot Connect To Pop Server Connect Error 10060
POP3 mail connect error 10060 I have a bit of a mindbending email problem. Recently I moved my email server from one server to another (all hosted) and since the move my incoming email for this account has stopped working. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_other/error-10060-cannot-connect-to-outgoing-smtp-server/34708df1-ab69-49df-9bd8-bb21025fe657 I can send, but not receive email. When I try to connect for inbound I get Connect Error 10060 - a socket error that implies the server is not responding. However from another machine in the same network I can happily telnet to port 110. From my main machine I can also happily telnet to port 25 on that box... just not port 110. I've checked the registry for any hardcoded references to my domain/port, but there's nothing untoward. http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/143171-pop3-mail-connect-error-10060-a.html So i'm lost... It's not an Outlook issue as telnet has the same problem. If I turn off a/v (Avast) and Firewall (Windows) I get the same result It cant be DNS because it resolves to the right IP but just won't connect to that port Has anybody got a clue what else I can do to diagnose or fix? Seems my incompetence at disabling my antivirus was part of the problem... My System Specs OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 . The error persists , I have another way to test if the SMTP is working OK?. The installation is by default, according to the Ubuntu Guide 10.10. And you sit. Thanks edge, I realized that I could use for that purpose . sirduque, Apr 12, 2011 #4 till Super Moderator Staff Member ISPConfig Developer Check the mail.log file and post the exact error message that you get there. till, Apr 12, 2011 #5 sirduque New Member till said: ↑ Check the mail.log file and post the exact error message that you get there.Click t
