On the DVD I get the error message "This program is not allowed to be recorded, E25", on my Sony VCR the recorded signal fades in and out, then screen becomes blue then fades from bright to dark. They are in the process of encrypting all the stations, they say, because of the FCC. But it very conveniently requires all Comcast users who want to record to have to rent the Comcast DVR for $17.95 a month.
