" and was unable to logon .\IWAM_US-HOU-WEB01 in order to run the server: {3D14228D-FBE1-11D0-995D-00C04FD919C1} Please Help Jeffry, Feb 13, 2004 #1 Advertisements Rykel Guest This can happen if the user account credentials assigned to the anonymous account used by IIS4 has fallen out of sync. IIS keeps a local database including it's acct credentials, if the info in AD has changed then you need to force IIS to re-synch. Go to Intepub\AdminScripts and run 'synciwam.vbs' from a cmd prompt. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;240941 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;255770 ~D~ "Jeffry" <> wrote in message news:fb9d01c3f1c9$426df9d0$... > DCOM got error "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. DCom got error Overlapped I/O operation is in progress..... P: n/a AmyAdmin I am running windows 2000 with IIS 5.0 and I have ASP and .NET apps running on that server, and I've been getting the error message in my event viewer: DCom got error "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress" and was unable to logon .\IWAM_servername in order to run the server. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/dcom-got-error-overlapped-i-o-operation-is-in-progress.1443338/ Followed by another error: The server stop serving requests for application __________ because of the number of out of process component crashes exceeded a limit. When this happens my ASP sites (all of them) report Server Application Error at the url, however it doesn't affect my .net apps. I've been searching for an answer for a long time, for now I run the syncIwam.vbs script but https://bytes.com/topic/asp-classic/answers/125373-dcom-got-error-overlapped-i-o-operation-progress that only fixes it for a short time before it happens again.
