Uninstall and reinstall IIS components. 2. Export the IISAdmin service registry under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services and import to dcom got error 1084 attempting to start the service wuauserv with arguments the problematic server. 3. Run SFC /ScanNow to scan and repair the system files. 4. Run MSCONFIG to launch System Configuration and disable the non-Microsoft services and all startup items to test the issue. If the issue persists, please also submit a new question to IIS forum for further assistance. I see a bunch of reference to the server. this is the statement made form someone helping me with a malware issue, Sometimes IE opens and sometimes it does not. I have an error message Pure network platform on start up. I removed my linksys software in an effort to clean up my computer. I'm running windows xp pro. IE 8 if it opens.
