of our installed services are controlled by a local user. Some of these services are calling some dcom objects which Identity also have this user configured. On this specific machine the dcom got error logon failure the user has not been granted OS is Windows 2008 R2. We have many other installations with this operating system and where we have not seen this error. The problem is that after a reboot or a restart of the service that is calling these DCOM objects we occassionally have event ID 10004 which says logon failed for the user controlling the DCOM object. I can fix the dcom got error "1909" and was unable to logon problem just by going to the dcom object and type in the password for the user. Then I can restart the service and the DCOM object is loaded. I can restart the service or reboot just after retyping the password for the user under Identity for the DCOM object, but after a day I have the problem again. If we did notdo this then our services could not start after a reboot and I have to do the same for the service by retyping the password for the starting user. I was thinking that there could be a similar policy for the dcom but I have not found anyone. Does anyone have a idea to solve this problem or maybe a method to debu
