Dos Error 7038
The program works perfectly if the target file is empty. The file has 8 indexes. (DOS Error 7038 is trying to carry out an operation that requires the system console which seems totally irrelevant!) Anyone seen this before ? Sent via Deja.com http://www.*-*-*.com/ Before you buy. Hi Chris, I haven't seen it before, but I think it's an Advantage error, not a DOS error. This is the entry for it in the Advantage NG: 7038 Invalid record number Problem: Attempted to read a record and the record number is greater than the number of records in the file. This error often results from using an index that contains more keys than the table has records. This can occur if a PACK or ZAP is performed on the table when the index file(s) was closed. Solution: Reposition to a valid record number. Reindex the index(es) that contain more keys than the table has records. -- Douglas Woodrow Sat, 15 Mar 2003 03:00:00 GMT AD#3 / 3 DBFNTXAX/7000 (DOS Error 7038) Chris, If you have Advantage questions you can try our news group. Going forward, as I said, I'd like to install blat using my gmail account.
