[Resolved] Runtime Error R6003 - integer divide by 0 Discussion in 'Earlier Versions of Windows' started by SUPET6, Aug 20, 2002. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement SUPET6 Thread Starter Joined: Jul 14, 2001 Messages: 34 When I try to install Win98, I get an error message of "Runtime error R6003 - integer divided by 0." I went to Microsoft's KB and found out that this sympton is pertaining to WinME. I assume Win98 and WinME are similar OS. The solution from Microsoft is that I should disable boot-sector virus detection in BIOS, which I have no such option, and I never enable such virus detection. I also tried to install Win95 but same error message appeared. That ruled out bad installation CD. I also rebuild MBR with FDISK, still no avail. I know runtime error usually associates with processor problem, but this machine worked before I reinstall the OS. BTW, the reason I reinstall Win98 is because the system was very unstable and all Windows configurations were messed up. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks. Then partition it then format it with system files. Once zeros are written to the drive, the utility will test the hard drive to make sure everything is cool. Other things you can do are copy the win98 folder from the win98cd onto your hard drive and run setup from there. Particularly 3COM Network Card? Also could you post about your system specs.(processor, ram) Plz check these and get back... pvc9, Aug 20, 2002 #3 Rollin' Rog Joined: Dec 9, 2000 Messages: 45

But when i about to test the application, https://forums.techguy.org/threads/resolved-runtime-error-r6003-integer-divide-by-0.92038/ the error Runtime Error R6003 - integer divide by 0 occured! There's a lot of solution in the internet if you google it. But it requires you to have the source code and modify it. But, what if, you only have the executable file? Try this solution i found in the internet. I tried this and it works. Using your favorite Hex Editor, Open the executable file and look for the http://dailytroubleshooting.com/solved-runtime-error-r6003-integer-divide-by-0/ following sequence of bytes in your program; B8 52 17 8B CA 33 D2 F7 F1 Then replace the last bytes F7 F1 with 90 90. And save it. That's it! You can now test your application. Please wait" and the progress indicator gets to 100% - a 'blacked out' dialogue box appears over the first box and in the lower left of the screen appears what seems be a DOS notice reading "run-time error R6003 - integer divide by 0" At this point the PC freezes with Power Off being the only way out. The same format/install process has been achieved several times in the past on this PC without any hitches. The only changes since the last install being the addition of a USB printer - however, the printer and scanner were unplugged from their USB ports during these install attempts. If the 'fix' requires using DOS - then I'm not very good at all on DOS commands, so instructions here would have to be rather specific. Thank you in advance to anyone who may help get this show back on the road. Errol D View Publi
