I made my character, and got a bit into the opening cutscene when a box popped up and said "Exception detected" and said https://steamcommunity.com/app/39190/discussions/0/864977563960206000/ it may take a few minutes to complete. Then it went away, the man in the cutscene said a few more words and then the game crashed. Did this happen because I ran the game instead of searching for a fix or is this a common problem? I'm running Vista HP. < > Showing 1-7 of 7 comments Mycky Irish View Profile View Posts 29 Aug, 2013 @ 9:35am This just happened to me too in the exact same manner. I'm running Windows 7. I have Windows 8 as well, and I had similar problems, such as the game would just quit on me because of the compatibility problems. What you do is go into the Dungeon Siege file in your hard drive, find the start application, right click it, go to propertie

Wonder how many people are experiencing this... "Alien" 04-19-2011, 10:13 PM #4 AlienOne Guest Posts: n/a Hey, I just fixed my own problem... I had it set up for a widescreen resolution in the .ini file (1440x900), and it would do the exception crash right at the end of the "preparing world" load screen every time. I just went to videoconfig (the app included to change the video card/resolution/filtering) and picked a resolution as well as changed my display driver from the "TnL" option to the non TnL option... Now, since I still have 1440x900 written into the .ini file, it kept my 1440x900 resolution, but fixed the load problem. Not exactly sure if it has somethi

Keep getting the option to send error reports to Microsoft (keep thinking the game is based on IE technology ). I have tried a set of trusty old 23.11 detonators but I still get the same problem. I managed to play the whole section of the game that is based in the Crypt without any error but as soon as I am back in a forest before Stonebridge the error comes back. I save constantly in worried anticipation of the next exception/crash but this is no solution as its killing the enjoyment value of the game! I also tried turning off fog emulation but still the same error!!! Aside from my problems it seems like a real nice game...
