Error Fatal Exception Occurred Dungeon Siege
Date: May 2010 Reputation: 0 Posts: 32 Dungeon Siege 1: Exception Detected **UPDATE** Fixed. XD Solution: Run DSVideoConfig.exe in the Steam\Steamapps\common\dungeon siege 1\ directory dungeon siege 1 exception detected and change the Video Driver from "Primary Display Driver - Hardware TnL" to "*whatever your video driver is*" *Note the lack of "TnL". After that just to be sure I went to the actual Dungeon Siege application, right clicked
Dungeon Siege Exception Detected Windows 10
and went to properties, and in compatibility, ticked to run the game in compatibility mode with Windows XP, SP2 version. --------------------------------- Ok so I just brought the collection of DS games through the sale. I was really keen to get into the game because I loved DS.. Now I have the message come up saying the game isn't compatible with my PC, and when I run it I can't play. I get through the opening cinematic (or try to dungeon siege 2 exception detected skip the cinematic) and get the message "Exception Detected" .. and once that's done what it needs to the game crashes and I can't play it. How can I fix this? I was having a terrible time getting this working, and I was able to get it to work by bypassing steam and launching the DungeonSiege.exe executeable directly from \program files(x86\steam\steamapps\common\dungeon

Just got to chapter 4 tonight and was working my way through the forest when I got hit by this "Exception Detected' crash. I did a search on this forum and tried doing what others had mentioned, dungeon siege 2 about disabling the Steam Overlay and running the game in xp sp 2 compatibility mode, but I get this crash once I try to move and can't figure out why. Would suck if I did all that hard work for nothing. :-( I'm on Windows 7. < > Showing 1-15 of 22 comments Mysterio28 View Profile View Posts 27 Apr, 2014 @ 11:04pm Strange, I went ahead and loaded up a previous save that I had made, which wasn't too far from where my last hard save was made, and everything seems to be working fine. I went ahead and worked my way back to where those crashes had first started, and this time I didn't crash at all. On that one save, I'm guessing it somehow got currupted because whenever I would load it, it would give that exception detected crash, or if I did manage to move for a bit and when I would attempt to save the game again, the moment I would click on save, it would crash again in the same manor. Not sure how that save got corrupted and hopefully it doesn't happen again. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? #1 Mysterio28 View Profile View Posts 27 Apr, 2014 @ 11:14pm /sigh...nevermind. Went back and attempted to load the last save I made aft
