The first time I ran this, the cursor showed up but the resolution was utter garbage. So I did what I did for Dungeon Seige and used the launch settings to set the resolution higher. Except it didn't work at all and no the cursor isn't even registering on the title menu. I've deleted and re-installed it several times now to no avail. I've turned on combatibility along with disabling DPI scaling to no effect. What is going on with this? By the way I'm running Win 8. < > Showing 1-15 of 18 comments Tasty Wheaties View Profile View Posts 29 Aug, 2013 @ 5:31pm Same exact problem here. Home -> forums -> Technical support -> DS2 & BW Technical Support Be careful if you're thinking of upgrading to Windows 8.1 Submitted by iryan on Wed, 2013-10-23 07:26 DS2 & https://steamcommunity.com/app/39200/discussions/0/846963165410032177/ BW Technical Support Just a word of warning that possibly you may have problems running DS2 and Broken World if you upgrade to Windows 8.1 or purchase a system with that version of Windows. I had absolutely no problems running DS2 on Windows 8 until I upgraded to 8.1 yesterday. At first I couldn't run any games at all, surely a very sad state of affairs. Manually installing Direct X 9.0c (automatic installation doesn't work as it says you already https://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node/2826 have the latest version) and upgrading the video drivers to the latest version fixed most of the other games. I can get DS2 started but it freezes in the main menu with graphical distortions around the mouse cursor. Dungeon Siege and Legend of Aranna runs without any issues. Note that I stripped out all mods just to be sure with DS2. The entire upgrade takes 3 to 4 hours and renames your old Windows folder. Add another 30 minutes or so reinstalling Direct X 9.0c and upgrading your video card drivers. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be appreciated. I'm still searching through the Net for any similar problems and any solutions. ‹ Controller Rapid Tank Creator and Anti-Virus Programs › » Add new comment Quote Comment viewing options Flat list - collapsedFlat list - expandedThreaded list - collapsedThreaded list - expanded Date - newest firstDate - oldest first 10 comments per page30 comments per page50 comments per page70 comments per page90 comments per page150 comments per page200 comments per page250 comments per page300 comments per page Select your preferred way to display the comments and click "Save settings" to activate your changes. Windows 7: Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World - graphic issues Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 04 Oct 2013 #1 Aderon Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit 5 posts Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World - graphic issues The game automatically chooses integrated graphics. Main Menu works fine, but during the gameplay every time I move the mouse, the cursor starts to blink. Well, I'd withstand that, but another problem is that the integrated graphics simply can't hold out, and the game often drops even below 10 fps. When I change graphics used by game to GT 630M in nVidia CP, the game in overall works better, but the cursor's still blinking, additionally with a black square (20x20px?) around it. Did anyone have the same problem? I couldn't find any way to solve it.
