The bandwidth manager installation package consists of two components. The first is a system service (also known as server). It should be installed on a computer which you want to control. socket error 10061 connection refused windows 7 The second is just a GUI (also known as client). You should install the bandwidth manager service on the client PC(s) and the GUI on your own PC. Reply Quote Rick Re: connection refused #10061 on any IP address 10 February 2006, 01:43 Thanks, but I was hoping that there would be no need to install anything on the other pc, only on the one where I would be controlling from on the network, otherwise I'm sure there are a half dozen other apps out there that can acomplish the same or more if both client and server service is installed on both pc's. I want to be able to control the bandwith without on another pc withou installing anything or configuring anything on the other pc where the bandwith is been controlled. I could simply change registry settings on the other pc to control bandwith without even installing anything on any pc, therefor, there would no purpose for this application or any other. In order to retrieve this data, the Enterprise Console must establish a connection to the PRTG Web Server. If you open the PRTG Enterprise Console and see a "socket error number 10061", this means that your Enterprise Console was not able to connect to the PRTG Web Server running on the PRTG Core Server. There can be several reasons for this. If you can still log into the PRTG Web Interface but get this error message using the Enterprise Console, the most common matter is non-matching settings of Web Server and Enterprise Console. Step 1: Viewing the Enterprise Console Settings From the Windows Start Menu, open the PRTG Enterprise Console application. From the menu, select File | Manage PRTG Server Connections. The Devices overview appears. On the left side, click on PRTG Server Connections. On the right side, select a server entry and click on the edit Edit button (the wrench symbol). You see the settings the Enterprise Console uses to connect to the PRTG Web Server. Step 2: Viewing the PRTG Administr

You may be able to add it to a list of 'approved' clients. See your documentation for if/how. But it could connect error 10061 be other issues, as mentioned. Some email servers reject attempts to connect using From addresses that are not on an approved list, for example - or do not comply with some other restrictions, such as a valid ReplyTo. It's possible you might get different results if you boot into Safe Mode (or, do a 'clean boot') then try the Test option in the Email section of SyncBack.
