to load dll with error code 126, when building in Visual Studio up vote 4 down vote favorite This project consists of a single .cpp file which calls LoadLibrary() to load a dll-file. What happens is that if I run the following through the Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Command Prompt: cl /nologo Test.cpp Everything works fine. On the other hand, if I start up cannot find import dll error 126 a simple Visual C++ project, add the file and compile it through there, the LoadLibrary() call fails with code 126: The specified module could not be found. The .exe I build from the command line is more than twice the size of the one built in Visual Studio. So I guess there's some static linking going on. By default the cl command uses the multibyte character set. When loadlibrary error 126 i tried to load DLLs of size more than 50kb ,loadlibrary api loadlibrary error 126 minecraft geeting failed and getlasterror() returning error code 126.If i tried to load the same DLL by reducing its size(commanded loadlibrary error 126 c++ some partn of code), its loading that DLL properly. Can anyone guess the problem with my application. You could use the tool dependency walker to check the dependencies of your dll. (http://flashexperiments.insh-allah.com/ApacheError126.html might be usefull to see how you could track this down.)
