then move the file to the correct network location, but this can be an annoyance if you are working with many Visio files. I've checked the permissions on the folders, ran the program as an Administrator, turned off my firewall and anti-virus program, but nothing seems to work. I have also found no information on error 126. Thank you for any help given. 0 Question by:rossg59 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution byrossg59 I found that with CA eTrust Anti-Virus it thinks .vsd files are virus files and blocks them when you try to save them onto the network. the users saving to a mapped drive? It sounds like you can create a new file to the same location, but just in case check the URL length -- if the full path (\\\\servername\\sharename\\path1\\...\\pathn\\file.ext) is over 256 characters, this will cause http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Visio/microsoft.public.visio.general/2008-07/msg00006.html errors. Mapping a drive doesn't shorten the actual address, so the full URL http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Visio/microsoft.public.visio.general/2009-02/msg00013.html is what is important. \par \par The other blocking problem we've seen is AntiVirus software blocking Visio extensions on the target server. \par \par Are you trying to save to VSD format or one of the other Visio drawing formats? (126) OCCURRED DURING THE ACTIVE SAVE. VISIO CANNOT SAVE THE FILE YOU SELECTED" with the only option is to check [OK] and lose my work. What is the cause of this error and what action should I take to resolve the issue? FWIW: All of my work is done on a network and it is frequent that I have more than one program active (by the nature of my job, I almost always work together with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite 2007).
