The driver shows up in the ODBC administration dialog. However, when I try to define an ODBC source I obtain the error message (translated from German): The setup routines for the Oracle ODBC client in instantclient64_12_1 could not be loaded. System error code 126: The denoted module was not found. (C:\Program Files\Oracle\instantclient64_12_1\SQLORAS32.DLL). After comfirming the dialog box a second message appears with basically the same message. A first check yields that the DLL does reside in the path given in the error message. Also the examination of the registry shows that both DLL paths to SQLORAS32.DLL and SQLORA32.DLL have been set correctly. The installation manual requires the PATH variable to be set the same directory. This was also checked by me. Is there any way to fix this? windows-7 oracle drivers odbc share|improve this question asked Nov 19 '13 at 11:51 Marcus Rickert 63119 closed as off-topic by Sven♦ Apr 22 '15 at 23:46 This question appears to be off-topic. I have added to http://serverfault.com/questions/555972/cannot-create-oracle-odbc-source-on-64bit-windows-7 the existing path the location where sqoras32.dll resides. Via the ODBC Data Source Administrator, when I attempt to add the driver to the System DSN, I get the following errorThe setup routines for the Oracle in instantclient_12_1 ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126: The specified module could not be found. It then lists the correct path and filename for the sqoras32.dll resides. Re: Unable to install instant client, get error code 126 user1395450 Feb 20, 2014 5:09 PM (in response to user1395450) I bailed on trying to get Version 12 working. I did get sql plus working, but could never get the ODBC working. I went with the 11.2 instant client and all works well. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Looks like they've updated. System error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed Windows 7 IT Pro > Windows 7 Miscellaneous Question 0 Sign in to vote I have an MS Access 2013 application that opens a connection to an Oracle database via an Oracle client. On occasion the error 126 application returns the following error when the ODBC connection is opened: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (Oracle in OraClient11g_home1, C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\SQORA32.DLL). This is an intermittent problem that is reproducible on several workstations (all running Windows 7 x64 with 32-bit version of error 126 sqora32 Office 2013 and 32-bit Oracle client 11.2.0). Many times the ODBC connection is established without a problemOther times the connection can be established by closing then re-opening the application onceOther times closing the re-opening the application several times does not help The same application is being run on several workstations and not every user experience the problem at the same time. The problem may be chronic for one user whereas another user experiences no problem whatsoever. All of the posts I have seen concerning this issue are for a persistent problem opening a connection and not an intermittent one. I am at a loss of how to diagnose this problem and would appreciate some direction.
