Unplug your iPod from the computer. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and find iTunes on that list. Remove it. Reboot your computer. If you can download iTunes from the Apple website or if you have, install it from CD. Plug your iPod in and see what it does. Worst case scenario is that you lose your library.
