But since I installed the latest itunes ipod error 1437 solution update, it will not sync. When I connect via USB, itunes will see the

this a problem with the latest itunes update? or a hardware problem? I am using Windows 7. Once I have this error, I can eject the ipod drive, and from that point on, every time

I plug in the ipod with usb, my computer just acts like it is a flash drive and puts up a window asking if I want to open windows explorer. Itunes from that point on doesn't even react. If I reboot my computer, I can go through the same sequence again, but itunes simply won't sync or recognize my ipod. iPod classic, Windows 7 Posted on Sep 27, 2015 10:01 PM error 1439 I have this question too Close Q: ipod classic error 1437 on restore All replies Helpful answers by turingtest2, turingtest2 Sep 29, 2015 10:07 AM in response to kbroch Level 10 (87,858 points) Apple TV Sep 29, 2015 10:07 AM in response to kbroch SeeCorrupt iPod classic.tt2 Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only. My trouble started when I got home from a trip https://origin-discussions-us.apple.com/thread/7244872 and plugged the iPod into an iPad wall charger. After several hours on the charger, I disconnected the iPod and saw that it was alternating between a "sad iPod" screen and "battery low" screen. Sometimes I could get it into diagnostic mode, and disk mode, and even "connect to a computer / use iTunes to restore". In the latter case, iTunes would spend a long time before it found the device, then https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/126478/Error+1437,+drive+is+good+but+not+accessible+to+PC would give an error 1437 "could not restore" message. I replaced the battery with a new one and got the same behavior. I replaced the logic board with a used 2006 logic board and got the same behavior. I replaced the drive cable and got rid of the sad iPod / low battery cycle. However, I still can't get iTunes to restore the iPod. It shows up in My Computer (Windows 7) as a removable disk, without a disk inserted. When I try to format, it fails (no capacity is reported in the format screen). When I try to open it, Windows reports that the drive is inaccessible, "Incorrect function". When I boot the iPod to diagnostic mode, it does report the hard drive model and capacity correctly, and displays the SMART statistics which seem quite normal. When I connect the iPod to a Linux machine, the USB device is found and recognized as a drive by the SCSI subsystem, but then after several timeouts the system determines that it is inaccessible. The drive works fine when I connect it to the PC using a USB drive enclosure for iPod drives. Answer this question I have this problem too Subscribed to new answers Is this a good question? (this post is not about my morals, haha). Anyway, I took it hope plugged it in and heard a clicking noise, the ipod would not start. I found online that I should hit the ipod against my palm to fix it, which it did. I then plugged the ipod into my laptop (win xp). (Note: I have already checked the warranty on it, nothing) I got an error message saying the ipod was corrupt and
