After I got the 1437 error message, I tried resetting my iPod, but that didn't help any. So then I tried restoring it. After I restored it, the iPod would recognize in iTunes if I left iTunes alone for 15-20 minutes, and it slowly syncs songs. Unplug your iPod https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/68985/Error+1437 from the computer. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and find iTunes on that list. Remove it. Reboot your computer. If you can download iTunes from the Apple website or if you have, install it from CD. Plug your iPod in and see what it does. Worst case scenario is that you lose your library. Make sure you copied your music and other files to a different directory. Good luck and let us know if this helped. Was this answer helpful? Most users will be fine just by reseting their Ipod, or by ejecting it from windows\Itunes, but for those that actually have corrupt files and just want their Ipod back, this is what you need.A buddy gave me an Ipod to fix, he couldn't restore it using Itunes, the reason? The corrupt files were causing a failure to read them in windows. I had to find an alternative way to get Itunes to see the Ipod.
