After I got the 1437 error message, I tried resetting my iPod, but that didn't help any. So then I tried restoring it. After I restored it, the iPod would recognize in iTunes if I left iTunes alone for 15-20 minutes, and it slowly syncs songs. But after it syncs like, 50 songs or so, it always says that my iPod cannot be read from or written to. If I restart my computer and connect my iPod again, it repeats the process of syncing up a few songs and then erroring out.I hope that the next update after 7.7.1 will fix this.

Unplug your iPod from the computer. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and find iTunes on that list. Remove it. Reboot your computer. If you can download iTunes from the Apple website or if you have, install it from CD. Plug your iPod in and see what it does. Worst case scenario is that you lose your library. Make sure you copied your music and other files to a different directory. Good luck and let us know if this helped. Was this answer helpful?
