I have it on ethernet, and it is working fine on the network for netflix and the main android experience.Every other Kodi device I have detects the PC and allows me to access (with username/password), but this won't even see it which is strange.Any thoughts on what might be wrong? Many thanks openelec error 2 share not available Comments wrxtasy Junior Member Posts: 685 December 2015 #1 In Kodi try:Add network location > Protocol = Windows SMB > Server Name = IP address of the server PLUS then put :445 on the end (this is the SMB TCP Port Number) > OKEg > 192.168.1.1:445Usernames and password may be required. Then select the smb://ip.address.of.server from the list again to add your shares. sitruz Junior Member Posts: 53 December 2015 #2 You are a genius, and a very nice person. :-) As you might guess it worked. I found that a restart of xbmc (not even rebooting the whole ATV, but just XBMC) to solve my problem. You probably didn't need to reinstall (just for others out there) find quote Thewolf Member Posts: 87 Joined: Jan 2011 Reputation: 0 2011-01-31 07:29 Post: #6 No matter how many times i reinstall or restart doesn't fix the issue. find quote GalBrill Junior Member Posts: 8 Joined: Jan 2011 Reputation: 0 2011-01-31 08:05 Post: #7 My way of solving the smb drive not connected is to "rename" the smb under Network, I just enter the rename and save.
