(They need simple lol). Having gone into the Kodi side of things, I've found it fantastic! error 2 share not available kodi android The way it integrates back to Android is awesome. I've added a new 'clean' skin and added Netflix to menu which boots back to error 2 share not available osmc the native Android Netflix app which is so cool! Love it.I'm having a problem adding a network share to Kodi though, and I think it's likely to be something on the box side, as I run a Kodi installation myself

on an Intel NUC for my own media.Normally on other Kodi installations, I go to Windows network (SMB) in the add source section, and it discovers my PC fine, but on the Core I get "Error 2: share not available". It doesn't even see the PC. I have it on ethernet, and it is working fine on the network for netflix and the main android experience.Every other Kodi device I have detects the PC and allows me to access (with

Kodi Smb Connection Timed Out
0 Location: Wisconsin 2016-06-05 15:58 Post: #1 Server: Mac Mini OS X 10.11.5 Client: AppleTV OSMC May 2016 release with kodi broken pipe Kodi v16.1 on USB thumb drive Network: static IP's set by router, gigabit ethernet First off, I know support for the AppleTV is limited and not actively supported by Kodi. However, I http://www.wetekforums.com/v/index.php?p=/discussion/22160/error-adding-windows-network-smb-to-kodi-error-2-share-not-available believe this is an issue with Kodi. I have posted in the support forums of OSMC to try and attack this on two fronts. Regardless, hear me out please. I just installed OSMC on a USB thumb drive for testing. Everything setup properly and I got to the default Kodi menu (I changed from the default OSMC interface). I changed the SMB settings to match the https://tapatalk.com/topic/41882-kodi/278599-smb-share-operation-not-permitted workgroup all computers on my home network are on. I then went to files to add a new source and selected Windows Network (SMB) and I get "Error 2: Share Not Available". I then select Zeroconf and it shows my Server(SAMBA) so I select it and nothing happens. No error message and it doesn't browse the share. I then back out to the top level and add a manually entered share with "smb://server.local" and I leave the login info blank since guest sharing is enabled on my server. I click ok and I get the error "Operation Not Permitted" and it's unable to browse the share. I have also tried manually adding a share by IP address, with a known admin login, with all variations of smb://user:[emailprotected] and no matter what I type in for the connection string, it refuses to connect. I have CrystalBuntu2 with Kodi v14.2 installed on the internal drive and on all other computers (and currently using until I can resolve this issue) and browsing through zeroconf or manual share add works just fine. Browsing Windows Network(SMB) still fails but I have two other options that work so that's not an iss

I would like to configure an OpenVPN connection on the box, but I can't get to NetworkManager. I see other answers to similar questions, but those are all for machines running previous versions of XBMC. From what I can surmise from other posts, I believe previous versions of XBMCbuntu allowed you to log on and run a window manager instead of launching directly into XBMC if you selected a session type on the log in dialog, but I don't have that option from the log in dialog. It just has a user & password field, not dropdown to select the type of session to run. Also, nmcli doesn't have any way to add connections, just connect to those configured using the graphical applet. If I could get to a window manager, I could run NetworkManager and set up the VPN connection, but since I can't, does anyone have a suggestion on how to configure it? I'
