When outlook comes up, it is seen in the proper format and shows the carriage returns as was formatted by my code. When the message is sent, I lose the carriage returns. Can anyone help me with this one? I cannot figure out why I get a Type Mismatch error message when I try it. Can anyone see what is wrong with what I have here? I am just trying to save a report to PDF in the specified file. Eventually I am going to want it to take textbox values from the report as the name of the PDF when it is saved. But I cannot get this to even work.Private Sub Command187_Click()On Error GoTo Err_Command187_ClickDim stDocName As StringTheFile = "C:\Documents and Settings\jdoe\Desktop\ActivityPDF\"stDocName = "R_MasterWatch"DoCmd.OpenReport stDocName, acPreviewDoCmd.OutputTo acFormatPDF, stDocName, TheFile, False, ""TheMessage = "Report has been save to " & TheFileBeepMsgBox TheMessage, vbInformation, "Report Saved"Exit_Command187_Click:Exit SubErr_Command187_Click:MsgBox Err.DescriptionResume Exit_Command187_ClickEnd Sub RE: Output to PDF PaulF (TechnicalUser) 27 Dec 11 09:30 Try using thisDoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, strDocName, "PDFFormat(*.pdf)", TheFile & strDocName & ".pdf", False, "", 0, acExportQualityPrintPaulF RE: Output to PDF dhookom (Programmer) 27 Dec 11 09:32 Does your code compile? to Snapshot. DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "", "SnapshotFormat(*.snp)", "", False, "", 0, _ acExportQualityPrint This works fine when I open with ShiftKey to test, but returns an error when opening the DB without the shifkey. Error 2487 - The object type argument for the action is blank or invalid. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Guest, Nov 22, 2007 #1 Advertisements Tom Ventouris Guest Resolved. it seems A2007 will not output the active report when the report name is left balnk, like earlier versions. I used Screen.ActiveReport.Name to do the job: DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, Screen.ActiveReport.Name, "SnapshotFormat(*.snp)", "", False, "", 0, acExportQualityPrint "Tom Ventouris" wrote: > I have a function on my Ribbon to send the active report to Snapshot. > > DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "", "SnapshotFormat(*.snp)", "", False, "", > 0, _ > acExportQualityPrint > > This works fine when I open with ShiftKey to test, but returns an error when > opening the DB without the shifkey. > > Error 2487 - The object type argument for the action is blank or invalid. > > Any suggestions will be appreciated.
