Hi, I've got 2 problems... 1- DIY is not my game 2 - My dishwasher isn't working Set a normal run yesterday, shut the door and then it beeped but wouldn't start... tried the whole turn off turn on http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/candy-cdi-1012-problem.265276/ thing but no joy Now tonight I've tried to start it again but this time it is stuck on programme 4 (even when I turn the power off and on again).. There is some water gathered at the bottom, i https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66oEZE4P9IU took the filter out and cleaned it but still no joy... Any help please sootyrocks, 1 Mar 2011 #1 zipper Joined: 20 Nov 2009 Messages: 2,789 Thanks Received: 505 Location: Aberdeen Country: The model number isn't complete (there error codes are several versions). Open the door & look for a sticker on the door lip....post what you find. If your model doesn't have an LCD display any error code will be manifested by flashing pilot lamps. zipper, 1 Mar 2011 #2 sootyrocks Joined: 1 Mar 2011 Messages: 7 Thanks Received: 0 Location: Sussex Country: Okay, does this help: CDI 1012/1-80?? sootyrocks, 2 Mar 2011 #3 zipper Joined: 20 Nov 2009 Messages: 2,789 Thanks Received: 505 Location: Aberdeen Country: dishwasher error codes Turn the machine on. With the door open try a reset by pressing (& holding down) the program selector button until all the LED's flash. If you get that far re-select a new program & see what happens. If it stops before the program is completed & some of the LED's flash note the sequence as this indicates an alarm code. zipper, 2 Mar 2011 #4 sootyrocks Joined: 1 Mar 2011 Messages: 7 Thanks Received: 0 Location: Sussex Country: ok tried that, managed to re set it set a new programme closed the door and it beeped once... then after about 2/3 mins it beeped (bit like an alarm).. 2 beeps...pause..2 beeps...pause and so on sootyrocks, 2 Mar 2011 #5 sootyrocks Joined: 1 Mar 2011 Messages: 7 Thanks Received: 0 Location: Sussex Country: also when i opened it the programme i selected (4) was flashing... sootyrocks, 2 Mar 2011 #6 zipper Joined: 20 Nov 2009 Messages: 2,789 Thanks Received: 505 Location: Aberdeen Country: P4 LED flashing & an audible alarm only tell you there is a fault, it doesn't say what the fault is. I am pretty certain you have a drain issue, either the sink spigot or drain hose is clogged, something is jamming the pump impellor, or the pump is defective. Uploaded on Jul 31, 2008"We all love our dishwashers, which is why when they break down we suffer. Don't worry if your dishwasher is playing up, we can show you how to trouble shoot the problem, and get it fixed quick!Step 1: LeakyThe first things to check are: Have you over loaded on detergent causing soapy residues? Have you stacked your dishes badly? Is the seal around the door old and worn? Have you got a dodgy pipe connection at the back? Worst case scenario is not good though, old machines corrode at the bottom and if this is your case then I guess it's time for a new one.Step 2: Not fillingIf you have got no water, clearly the dishes are still going to be grubby. First check under the sink and make sure the stop valve is fully open. If it is and there's still no water then now would be a good time to call us.Step 3: Not drainingA little water left in the tub is normal but if you're worried there are a couple of simple things to check: Is your drain hose damaged? Or are your drains blocked? If it's neither of these then you might need a new pump.Step 4: Not washingBad loading is the most frequent cause of bad washing. Plates may be in the way of others stopping them getting any water so take a bit more care when stacking. If the problem continues you can try adding more detergent, but if that doesn't do the trick you might have low water pressure, or hard water.Step 5: Not taking the detergentYou may be putting in too much of the soapy stuff. Your dishwasher will only use the amount needed to clean the plates in it. Use less detergent for a couple of runs and see if that helps.Step 6: Cold WaterIf you suspect the water is not heating properly hold a thermometer under the hot water tap for 2 minutes. It needs to be a minimum of 140 degrees F. If not turn up the heat on your boiler.Step 7: NoisyIf you can't hear yourself think over the racket coming from the dirty dishes then you may have some loose or dodgy parts o
