Once it does that it uninstalls, and only option for that app is to enable. This solves the problem. commented Apr 5, 2015 by anonymous I have a moto G http://wikitechsolutions.com/996/how-to-fix-unfortunately-contacts-has-stopped-error-message and I keep having the same problem with my contacts stop responding...How do I fix it? commented Apr 5, 2015 by anonymous Did the same on my Droid Razr M. . cleared the problem immediately commented Apr 6, 2015 by sp Hi guys..... i also have same problem i changed android omega rom. I did format but unfortunately, contacs has stopped :((((((( i dnt use my mobile commented Apr 12, 2015 by YoReed UnInstalling the updates to the Google+ app fixed my issue with "Unfortunately, contacts has stopped" popup every time I called someone. But, the problem came right back of couese next time the updater ran. You have to disable auto updates. That is in the Google Play app on the Google + app page. Push the 3 vertical dots and then uncheck the "auto update" box. Hope this helps. commented Apr 14, 2015 by anonymous Google+ was the issue. Fixed it on all 3 phones that I was having a problem with. Droid Maxx and Droid Mini. Disable Google+ and you are good to go.
