Fans spin up but no video signal. I tried: different AGP video card, PCI video card, different RAM, different CPU and I tested the power supply, it's good. I have http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?53720-8KTA3-Error-Code the board out of the case with just the CPU w/HSF, RAM and video card in it. I get a long beep and then an error code of 7F. It hangs for a couple of seconds on 6F before it holds at 7F. All jumpers are at default and I have reset the CMOS numerous times. Any ideas? Last edited by oldsmoboat; 08-16-2001 at 10:56 PM. Diagnosis: The first bank of memory probably has a failure of some sort; this is usually just a physical problem such as an incorrectly inserted module, but may also mean a bad memory chip in a module. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well. That's a direct quote from the AWARD BIOS Site, since you have used different RAM it may indicate that the Motherboard is faulty. Last edited by redbaron; 08-17-2001 at 08:00 AM. The BIOS code it error codes bios gives me on the motherboard is "7F". That's where it stops."7Fh" in the back of my motherboard manual tells me the following:quote:1. Switch back to text mode if full screen logo is supported. -if errors occur, report errors & wait for keys -if no errors occur of F1 key is pressed to continue: * Clear EPA or cusomization logo.I have no clue WHAT the hell it is talking about. I've stripped it down to the point where I have only the processor and one stick of Crucial PC2100 RAM installed. I also have it running outside of the case on an anti-static bag on top of the motherboard box. It was doing the same thing when it was fully hooked up with the sound, video, network, drives, etc. all inside the case. I've cleared the CMOS, I've set the jumpers to a 7.5X multiplier instead of autodetect (for a Duron 750). The Duron does not have pencial marks on it (for overclocking) and every jumper on the board is set to its default position according to the manual.Would someone like to help me out?
