Parts Top Selling Parts Questions & Answers Questions & Answers about this model powered by F07 Error Code GHW9150PW1 Whirlpool Residential washer Hi, I've recently got a f07 error code on my whirlpool residential washing machine. I did a test run based on the washing machine error troubleshooting guide. The test run started and it stopped right after the water has been fed in. It didn't start the spinning of the motor. Based on the troubleshooting, spinning should be followed. I've tried replacing the motor but that didn't help. I'm not sure if it's the motor control board or the control board on the top of the machine that has failed. Can you please help me with this? Thank You. Tom Posted October 26, 2014 Answers Jeff Wallace Sr, October 28, 2014 thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member. i am sorry to hear of the f07 error code you are receiving on the washer. i know how frustrating that is to have happen. the f07 error code indicates a ‘motor control unit error’. the central control unit has detected a short in the motor control unit. if a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. i would recommend checking the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the motor control unit (mcu), and between the mcu and the central control unit (ccu). if the connections look good, you will need to have a meter and have the capability to test the components in the circuit: the drive motor, the mcu, and the wires in the wire harness.
