[ author ] An 01-90 simply means there is no communication between motorola fail 01/90 the control head and the radio, and there is many reasons

why this can be. But as the others suggested already check to make sure that the

radio is powered. Although you didn't say if this was a remote mount as they also made the lower power Astro Spectra as a dash mount. http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=104029 If everything has power and you still have the error then its many other possibilities. If remote mount a bad control head cable or connection. Or it could be a dreaded leaky cap as well, seen that before also. The 01-90 is such a general error that they didn't put it in http://www.qth.net/pipermail/motorola/2008-November/003578.html the manual. But its mentioned on the Batlabs site as well as the RBTIP website. It's just a general communications failure error.
