Gecko Spa Pack Troubleshooting
Pool is for a spa that isn't heating due to a low gecko spa pack error codes flow error. A lot of times the customer won't know the tub is giving them a low flow error, gecko hot tub troubleshooting and only that the tub has not been heating and the temperature is down below the desired range. Before we get into what causes a flow error and how to https://spacare.com/spasideerrorcodes.aspx fix it I should probably explain what a low flow actually is.What is a hot tub flow error? On either side of your spa's heater there are two sensors that read the water pressure flowing through the system. You can also have something called a pressure switch located on your heater element which does the same thing. These sensors are there to http://precisionpool.net/2010/12/hot-tub-low-flow-error-causes-and-solutions/ protect the heater from running dry, so if the water flow drops below a certain level the sensors will tell the heater to shut down in order to protect itself from burning out. You see if the flow is not at the desired level there is usually a good amount of air in the lines, when a spa heater or motor is running with air in the lines we call this running the system dry. When the system runs dry the components heat up and can eventually burn out, permanently damaging the equipment. The flow sensors help prevent this from happening by shutting the heating system down when the flow is less than nominal.Dealing with a hot tub air lock? Check out our article: How to release and airlock in your hot tubWhat causes a hot tub flow error? I have it plumbed with a 24 hr 1/15hp circ pump running through the heater. The flow from the circ pump seems fine, plenty of pressure no air in the lines. Tried with/without filter. I tried adjusting the pressure sensor but get a measurement of no resistance no matter error codes if its the whole way in or out. Any ideas? Could the heater backwards cause the error? I have the pump on the sde of the pack that the cords/power connects to and the outlet on the side that has the temp probe/light exit. If the flow message goes away then you know its the pressure switch if it does not then it a problem with the pack. The pack knows that it has sent voltage to the pump and if the pack does not see the pressure switch closed(shorted) then it will trip the FLO message. When I shorted the sensor leads to give it a false connection it reads FLC which the manual says "the system detects a problem with the pressure switch" online I found somewh
